(1) lit. Everything.
(2) lit. A hundred million. Japanese number splitting are different in that it goes from a thousand (sen) to ten thousand (man) to a hundred million (oku) instead of the thousand, million and billion we're used to. I just made this a billion to parallel what I call a "numberless number" i.e. one of those numbers that doesn't have other number names in it like a hundred, thousand, etc.

damn we for real pwned all those translators who stick to literal translations. this came out sounding so poetic and beautiful. def. one of the best you've done yet.

that verse is up there with the "someone is singing in front of the train station, and it's a song you love" line from fucking sakura sake that makes me wet myself everytime i hear it.

since we're all about doing beautiful drama inserts, you should probably do プラナテリアム next and get all the HYD fangirls riled up.

lol, how did you find this journal? usually the people who come on over here are Johnny's Entertainment fans, but I do hope to do some more non-JE translations in the future (omg Bump of Chicken's Sailing Day?! or Song of Wheels? Totally want to do it!)

Thanks a lot for your guys' lyric translation! The song sounds so nice and yeah, like everybody else, reading the translation made it that much better =D
And I have to say, after looking for these translations in so many other places, I think your guys' translation of it was definitely the most meaningful. Thanks, again !

Hi! I found this lyric/translation through Google, and reading it almost brought tears to my eyes. ;_; The first time I sang it out loud after watching "1 litre", tears welled and I dunno why. It's a really moving and beautiful song.

I had a hard time translating the lyrics in a meaningful way. That translation is great!

I didn't watch 1 litre of tears but somehow I have this MP3 on my ipod!

When I first listened to it... I kind of pictured something in my mind as I was walking. So when I wanted to sing this for karaoke and googled the lyrics I found this page... and it totally matched what I had imaged! Thanks for the translation ^_^
